x.x ginny weasley it's just another war, just another family torn... The sky was murky and dry, even for an autumn. Clouds draped across what would usually be a scarlet array of leaves, and fog hung low in the dusky morning air. In the distance trees flocked with flame colored leaves blew in the wind. According to the clocks, it was about six o'clock in the morning and the sun had just about risen, though it was hard to tell behind the darkened, musky mask of a day.
Out of the castle strode Ginevra Weasley. Her scarlet hair draped around broad yet proud shoulders that supported a petite yet lithe frame. She wore the burgundy robes of a Gryffindor quidditch player, complimenting her paled-tan skin and framing her smooth locks. In her left hand she carried a smooth wooden handle of a Cleansweep broom, new yet still not the best brand in the business. It was the best her struggling family could afford. She supported a maroon colored quaffle under her other arm. The Gryffindor chaser was, yes, going to practice her quidditch.
In the center of the quidditch pitch, Ginny crouched and set down her broom on the dew-covered grass. Her breath was silent, yet it clouded in the cool air and blew towards the sky after a few exhales. She juggled the large ball between her hands for a moment before tucking it under her arm again and standing parallel to the broom. She stretched out the arm that wasn't supporting the quidditch ball and muttered softly under her breath. "Up!"
The broom flew into her open palm without objection and she mounted it like you would a horse, without the complex series of saddle straps. Kicking off with her powerful legs, she lifted off in to the air and danced around the wind atop the jagged broom. She knew that this would be a boring practice without anyone else, but who cared?
it's just another kill, the countdown begins to destroy ourselves

The Slytherin sat side-saddle on her broom as she gazed around her. She was dressed simply in a grey turtleneck shirt and a pair of blue jeans. She hadn’t come out here to practice which would explain her lack of green quidditch robes. No, she was out here simply because she felt like it. After a night of tossing and turning, she had woken up at the crack of dawn. Knowing that she would never get back to sleep, Astoria had headed out after slipping on her clothes and grabbing her broom and a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. She’d strolled silently towards the quidditch pitch without a bother. Just in case, Astoria had brought the golden snitch up with her also. It was safe in it’s pouch, tied around one of the belt loops of her jeans.
So here she was, sitting on her firebolt with a box of Bertie Bott’s Beans on her lap. Astoria looked as the sun began to mount in the sky. Sunrises were beautiful. Astoria reached down and picked up a jelly bean. She looked at it for a second and then popped it into her mouth, hopeful that it wasn’t anything foul. A small smile lit her lips as a peppermint taste touched her tongue. Astoria sucked on the small candy as she watched a redheaded girl make her way onto the pitch. It was Ginny Weasley. Who else had flaming red hair like that?
Ginny mounted her broom and flew around the pitch. Astoria watched and wondered if she ought to join the Gryffindor. Absently, she picked up another jelly bean and as she began chewing, the girl winced, sticking her tongue out. She had no idea what the flavour was, but it was nasty. Slowly, Astoria swallowed it without finishing chewing it. Yes, definitely enough of these. Quickly, the Slytherin straddled her broom and flew towards the stands where she dropped off the Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. Turning around she whizzed towards the Weasley. She slowed down as she reached the other girl and as she passed, she said, ”Hey Weasley.” She hadn’t been sneering like a lot of other Slytherins would have, but it hadn’t exactly been friendly. After all, Astoria didn’t really know her.
Wondering what her reaction would be, Astoria kept up the pace until she was a few meters away and then she turned around again. She smiled innocently and waited for the Gryffindor to reply.
